COVID-19 Protocols for all participants entering the buildings of the New School

Proof of vaccination and a booster are required for visitor campus access. No exemptions will be allowed. Masks must be worn at all times in campus buildings. We encourage everyone to invest in an instrumental and vocal mask prior to arriving.

First-Time Visitors to the campus of the New School: prior to arriving at their destination, visitors must provide proof of vaccination and booster at the Welcome Center Visitors Desk located at 72 Fifth Avenue during the hours listed below to receive a guest vaccination pass.

The Welcome Center Visitors Desk located at 72 Fifth Avenue is open during the following hours for vaccination passes:
Monday through Thursday 7:30am - 9:00pm
Friday 7:30am - 6:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday 8:00am - 6:00pm

The IASJ is a member of the IMC, the International Music Council, affiliated with UNESCO.

IASJ since 1989

In 1989 David Liebman initiated a gathering of representatives of schools of jazz. In The Hague, The Netherlands in 1990 the first IASJ Jazz Meeting took place. Ever since, a yearly IASJ Jazz Meeting is organized in a different city.
